George Wright Society | Tallgrass Chapter
The Tallgrass Chapter of the George Wright Society works to bring like minded people from K-State together with students from other campuses. As found on the George Wright Society Website:
The George Wright Society champions stewardship of parks, protected & conserved areas, cultural sites, and other kinds of place-based conservation by connecting people, places, knowledge, and ideas. By uniting people from many different backgrounds around a common passion for protecting Earth’s natural and cultural heritage, we create the collaboration needed to meet today’s greatest conservation challenges.
Students interested in natural resources are encouraged to join to learn more about natural resources and to gain opportunities to connect with professionals. Our Chapter provides travel, scholarship, and internship opportunities to aid the success of the students.
