Student Hourly Forestry Research Assistant

CONDITIONS: About 10 hours per week, must be available from 8am to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or 10:30am to 4pm on M, W, or F..

POSITION AVAILABLE: Work will run from early September through early November

RESPONSIBILITIES: A student assistant is needed on a Prescribed Fire/Oak Regeneration Project. The field site is located adjacent to Tuttle Creek Lake.
Knowledge of tree identification, and familiarity of plot measurement work a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Kansas Driver's License.
  • Ability to work outside in hot and cold weather.
  • Ability to traverse very steep and uneven terrain in the woodland.

SALARY: $12/hour
