This position is responsible for the development and implementation of daily and periodic plant maintenance programs to provide proper care of plants used for teaching, research and extension by faculty, undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources. Develops and implements daily operation and maintenance practices for HNR greenhouse facilities. Supervises greenhouse support employees and manages greenhouse records. Initiates strategic planning to improve greenhouse operations, facilities, and associated equipment. Interacts with and supports other faculty and staff, including Throckmorton greenhouse complex's maintenance and support staff.
Requires a bachelor's degree in Horticulture and three to five years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
M.S. in Horticulture or related field and experience in greenhouse production and management. preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
Must maintain a pesticide applicator's license.
Salary Range/ Pay Rate:
$42,090-$65,230 $20.23-$31.36 per hour
